Rosana - A musical diary

by Valentin Merz

A intimate trip to Angkor Wat's Rosana Broadway Theater and its lady boy performers. In only one hour, the cabaret offers a show that goes through all Asia. The Chinese Empire, Communist Vietnam, Gangnam-style Korea and traditional Cambodia are embodied in the queer atmosphere of the musical, the outrageous volume of the music, the cross-dressing of the actors and the impeccable mastery of their movements. But, the dancers work 28 days a month at a frantic pace, tirelessly reproducing the same gestures, they can barely make ends meet.
